The Uttarakhand Transport Department has initiated the mandatory installation of High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) for vehicles registered before 1st April 2019. These specially designed number plates provide enhanced security through features such as a unique laser-engraved code, a hot-stamped hologram, and tamper-proof locking. HSRPs help in preventing vehicle theft and ensure authenticity of vehicle registration.

Owners of vehicles registered in Uttarakhand before the specified date can now easily book their HSRP online through authorized channels. The booking process requires basic vehicle information, including the registration number and details, and allows users to select an installation center. Vehicle owners are urged to complete their HSRP installation to avoid fines and ensure compliance with national road safety regulations.
